How to add a new menu item to a menu

    Login to website

    CM versions 6.0 and higher

Firstly you will need to create a new folder (if you haven't already created a folder and article for the new menu item). Also the folder should contain a default article so an article will need to be created as well.

    To create a new folder

    Go to:

Dashboard or Admin > Publishing > Folders

Select the Parent folder of where you would like to create the folder

For example if it was the first level menu you will select one of the first level folders

Click "Add Folder" or right click on parent folder and select "Add Sub Folder"

    Enter the details

Note: The Public Name is the name of the menu item that the users will see.

    Click Save

Now you should create the article under that folder.

Once you have completed the above you will need assign the folder to the menu

To assign the folder to the menu

Note: You only need to assign the folder to a menu if it is in level 1.

    Go to:

Dashboard or Admin > Design and Layout > Menu

Select the Menu you wish to add the new menu item

    Click on "Edit"

Scroll down to the Menu Items section (as shown below in the image)

Search the Available folders section to find the folder

Select the folder and add it to the Selected Folders section

    Click "Save"
