    How to insert a date tag in the Content Editor

    Go into edit mode of the particular article that you would like to insert the Date Tag

    Enter ||Date|| where you would like the date positioned

    Click "Save & Check In" or "Publish" for CM versions 5.8 and higher

    The date will appear like this - 07 Jan 2009

    One more thing (this got me!) - if you choose to Draft your article rather than save it - the date tag will just display the tag, not the actual date. Once published, the date is displayed.
