How to use an FTP Account for documents and SWF files

    Hi

I am currently loading some files via an FTP account.
I created a new folder in the FTP area to store the files, but don't know how to move the files friom this folder to the CM/LMS to attach to my training modules.

Any hints or tips with regards to this concern ...?

     Hey Richard,

You should be uploading documents in the SecureDocuments folder and upload the flash files in the Multimedia folder.

When you FTP documents into the SecureDocuments folder you will need to synchronise the documents so they are accessible via the Document Manager.

To do this Go to the Document Library and click on Syncronise documents then click on synchronise

Select the documents you would like to synchronise and click on synchronise.

Once the documents have been synchronised you can accessed them on the Document Manager.

     Thanks

     Paul

Just a bit more info for you...

I am loading some .swf and .avi files, as well as some .pdf files, for inclusion in some online training courses for our LMS.

I have copied the avi and swf files to the same folder as the pdf files.

Via ducument manager I can see the pdf files, but cannot see the avi or swf files.
